Ecstasy, 108 Soul Shards on Life, Death and what Lies in-Between is a lyrical analysis of the human condition. Scientific empiricism has done wonders to help us understand ourselves and the world around us, as well as demystifying barbaric interpretations of race and religion. Yet a purely empirical outlook on the world still falls short in providing us the comfort of knowing who we are and what it is to be human. If we reverse the order of matter and consciousness, focusing on the latter, many of these questions easily and intuitively find their answers. In order to do so, we need to interpret our perceptions as just one of the components that define us, together with our thoughts, our intuitions, and our emotions. Reason remains the canvas where to conduct our search for new paradigms, but rather than being constrained within the walls of matter, we are asked to push our reason to the realms of our spirit. Ecstasy is an attempt to offer a metaphysical account of the nature of our consciousness, our relationship with the physical world and the language of nature, through a series of insights and personal anecdotes strung together like prayer beads. These 108 moments revolve around the concept of our Universe being devoid of matter, seen as a projection of our consciousness, and the correlated effects on the fundamental aspects of our lives, such as our role in society, our childhood, love, and the cravings that stir the endless patrimony of human emotions. As such a quest could only have been carried by seeking within, Ecstasy is an interior journey into the unity of our existence and the multitude of expressions it contains.
